Styling A Jumpsuit At The Tail-End Of Winter

Monday, April 2, 2018

This time of year is so tough. We want to whip out all of our new spring outfits, but the weather just isn't there yet. Take today for example, when I woke up this morning, there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground.Yesterday, as I was taking these photos, I was able to take off my jacket, and not even shiver. The weather is so inconsistent, I'm often torn on which season to dress for.

I wore this navy pinstriped jumpsuit last night for dinner with my boyfriend's family. I didn't want to be too dressed up, which is why I chose to wear it with a jean jacket. If I had chosen to go the dressier route, I would have paired it with a white blazer.

The booties made the outfit feel a bit more spring-ish, and not like I had jumped straight into summer. I rolled up the pant leg to make it look cropped. Funny side story to this - I bought the jumpsuit a few days ago in store and when I tried it on, the length was perfect for me. Then, when I went to the website to link it here, I found this was actually supposed to be a cropped jumpsuit to begin with. The 5'10 model was wearing the same size as me, and it was perfectly cropped. I'm pushing 5'1, so I was oblivious to this when I bought it. Either way, I made it work!

The jumpsuit is made from linen and extremely comfy. There are buttons detailed at the top which I also love. I feel like this is going to be a great jumpsuit to dress up or down, and may become my go-to this season!
